No Job – Day Three

1 05 2009

I’ve come to realize that the worst part is the not knowing if we’re going to be ok financially. We have savings but we don’t want to drain it.

I received my paper work today stating the amount I’m to receive every week. It’s about half of what I was making before. It’s more than what I’m making but it’s still discouraging. Last night a friend, who’s been unemployed sine Sept., told me to think out side the box. He was a pilot and he’s going to be a cop. I have a connection at a bank and could be a teller. Not ideal but it’s a decent job. I also ordered some freelance software to help keep up with the business of being a freelance artist. Fortunatly I aquired enough points on a rewards program to get it for free. Maybe Cobb Creative will come to fruition.

No Job – Day One

29 04 2009

Well day one was busy with resume and portfolio updating and dropping off those resumes at a few places around town. It is nice to spend Jeremy’s day off with him. The hardest part is with friends though. I was fine most of the day and then it was dinner with friends at Buffalo Wild Wings. Not all of them knew and it’s hard trying to convince them we’re not spending money frivolously. Keep your eyes posted for a design job.
