Well I thought that with all my free time I’d blog more, but I’ve spent most of it with family and away from the house. Today I accepted a position with the Bossier-Shreveport BattleWings. I never thought that I’d really fall back on my marketing minor, but I am. It’s exciting to have a new career staring at me. Hopefully this will be a place to flourish. I’ve been looking for a company to have a career and not just a job. I’d say this organization has that potential.
Now for you avid readers. I will still talk design, I just won’t be talking as much about my projects as I will my finds on the Internet and observances of life. I hope to do more blogging soon. I guess with the shock of me losing my job, I just shied away from my computer unless it was to print a resume or cover letter or coupons (Hey, every penny counts when your living on significantly less money that you were before.). I will also be posting about my transition from designer to salesman. Oh and I’m always looking for a few freelance jobs. I’m rapidly setting up my office for a great part-time freelance business if I can get a hold of a few clients.
And lastly, I’m working of redoing my personal site, yet again. Once I have some disposable income, I plan on purchasing my own server space and uploading a better portfolio, blog site. Hopefully, I can figure out how to do all that. Web design is not my strong suit at all. If anyone has any pointers or great sites with pointers let me know. I have great ideas, just not enough know how on getting it done.
