A & E’s “Exterminators” Filming at BattleWings’ July 25th Game

The Bossier-Shreveport BattleWings have announced that A&E Network’s number one show, The Exterminators, will be filming part of an episode for their anticipated second season at the BattleWings’ game on July 25 at the CenturyTel Center in Bossier City.

“We’re thrilled to be a part of such an exciting show,” said BattleWings’ general manager Butch Bellah. “Anyone who has watched an episode can imagine the fun we’re going to have that night.”

The entire cast and crew will be on hand to sign autographs for fans including Billy Bretherton who runs Vexcon with his brother Rick and the rest of his family.

“It just so happens that we are having our Wedding Rings With The BattleWings at halftime of the game,” Bellah added. “The lucky couple is likely to have part of the Vexcon crew as a participant in their nuptials.”

In this funny family docusoap about the zaniest pest removal company on the planet, we join Billy Bretherton and his family members as they are called to take care of Louisiana’s worst pest problems. And it’s a big business in the swamp-like state of Louisiana. Although there are numerous other pest control companies in the state, Vexcon is the only team that handles all types of animal removal. From tiny ants to giant snakes, Billy and his team have seen everything.

Fans are encouraged to get to the CenturyTel Center early on the 25th to get their autograph from the show’s stars.

VexCon to Visit BattleWings Game

The hit A&E TV Show the Exterminators is going to be doing some filming at our last regular season home game on July 25, 2009. So not are we fighting for the division title but we’re being filmed. Our office has been busy trying to get everything ready. I can’t wait. The Husband and I watched the entire first season and we’re looking forward to this season, especially if I have a chance to be seen in the show (it’ll end up being a shot of me standing with a stupid look on my face I’m sure.). So we have a great special going on for tickets, so who could say no to coming to an arena football game, at rock bottom prices, and with a chance to be in the crowd when a nationally televised show is being taped? I know I would be there (that is if I wasn’t going to be working the game already and had to be there). So give us a shout, 318.746.8755 for the tickets. Go WINGS!!

Brawl for it All

7 07 2009

Something I’ve touched on before is my limited design worm at work. Currently I’m working on vouchers for tickets that also double as flyers.

Our small group of employees gathered for bout an hour to brainstorm ideas for a theme for our last game. Given that it’s such an important game for the team in terms of division title and playoff standings, it is very important to us to sell this game and fill the arena. If you’ve Never been to an arena football game, you are missing out on some extreme action in football. But that is another topic for another day.

The idea or theme for this game will be the Brawl for it All. The winning team will (if all goes according to plan) win the division title and secure a first round home playoff game. The theme has an old boxing feel. I immediatly thought of and old boxing poster with two rival oppenants ready to tear into each other. july25_website_voucher

Please check back in a few days. I have a big announcement about the game.  I’m sure it will be an entire blog post in itself. I’m so excited.
