New portfolio website

For those that might have read, during my time off, I was contemplating a full time freelance design business. Well it’s evolving into a part-time business at least. I acquired some software to maintain invoices and keep up with hours, mileage, and expenses for all my design jobs. I recently started a ’start your own design freelance business’ email course and put together a contract, creative brief, and pricing guides. So naturally I needed a better portfolio site. This one just does not give the feel that I want for my professional website. It’s great for blogging and nonprofessional areas of my design. So from now on I’m going to blog on here and maintain a link to this site on my new website.

I’m extremely excited to have my new site up and running. It still needs work in a few areas and not all of my work has made it up there yet. But stay tuned… I’m hoping to have the entire site finished by the end of the week, given my husband doesn’t ban me from the computer. Needless to say I’ve been spending an awful lot of time working on finishing the basic organization of my ‘business.’ In fact, Larry (the nice guy from the live chat technical support for my hosting company) and I spent an hour the other night reorganizing my files so that you access my site in its entirety by just typing in rachelecobb.com. Now that everything is set and in the right place, I can finish uploading my portfolio pieces tonight, or until Jeremy makes it home. I encourage everyone to visit my new portfolio and leave comments, introduce yourself, or just holla.
